  • Xtreme Everest to visit Duke University this June

    Join Xtreme Everest and the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University on the 14 June 2018 as they present the Xtreme Everest Symposium: Human Tolerance of Hypoxia: Going to Extremes to Understand Critical Illness conference. This conference will review the Xtreme Everest medical research program that takes lessons learned in extreme low oxygen environments, including that found on the summit of Mount Everest, and brings them back to the bedside of the intensive care unit (ICU).

Xtreme Everest is a dedicated team of intensive care doctors, nurses and scientists. They conduct experiments on themselves and other volunteers at high altitude in order to develop novel therapies to improve the survival rates of their patients.
