Lisbon Collaborators Meeting
Core collaborators from the Caudwell Xtreme Everest research team met in Lisbon to discuss the dataset collected in 2007 and 2009. The meeting took place in Europe before the annual conference of the European Shock Society, to facilitate the attendance of European collaborators.
Data from the five core research themes - Oxygen Delivery, Oxygen Utilisation, Brain, Breathing Systems and Genetics were presented. This was followed by lively discussion by all involved. Data is continuing to be published slowly in international journals, with many more articles expected over the next year. (Click Here).
The meeting also allowed plans to be developed further for sharing of data between the different themes to allow research questions to be examined from several angles. The plan is to present much of the core data at a Scientific Conference in May 2010. (Click Here). |
